Looking for information re Alexander W. Smith. b.TN ca 1810. Married Martha C. Smith, dau of Rev.Peyton Randolph Smith & Nancy Bass, b. TN 1815. Married by Rev.Peyton R. Smith 1830 in Rutherford Co, TN. They were living in Covington, Tipton Co, TN starting in 1840. Alex W. was a judge, amongst other things. Smith children listed on 1860 Covington, Tipton Co, TN census- Wm. D.(Dickson?)- age 19 Alex W.- 16 Robert C.-14 John L.-13 Martha M.-9 Isabella F.-6 Samuel P.-3 Oldest son, Peyton Jackson SMith,b.1838 in TN, m. to Emma Catherine Sherrod. Peyton J. was an attorney. Their son Sherrod, b.1874 in Covington, also an attorney. Another daughter- Lucinda Jane Smith, m.to John Irvine Sherrod in 1857 Tipton Co, TN. Looking for information on Alex W. Smith Sr's parents, siblings, etc. We (Smith cousins) are researching Peyton R. Smith's line and are looking for all SMith connections we can find! We have information to trade also. Thanks!- Jan
