BENJAMIN ELLIS b ca l739 Kent Co., MD sold land in TGrousdale Co,.Tn l802. l770 he sold land in Rowan Co, NC; l77l deed in Old Tryon Co., NC on Broad River (now Rutherford Co,NC) l784/94 in Sumner (Smith) Co., TN. l782 land grant in Greenville Co, SC. Need to find Rachel's name. Supposedly she was daughter of Willis Pressley, Preston, Pressmil/ler and Miss Spencer. Need to find these parents. Benjamin's children: Mary m Alexander Davidson, Benjamin m. Sarah Copeland,Jacob, Willis Pressmil m Polly Copeland, Jmes m Elizabeth Bowen, Sarah m Alexander Davidson Jr, Rachel m John Davidson, Abraham m Cecelia Johnson, ISAAC SPENCER ELLIS m.
