The parents of Joseph Higdon were Gabriel and Rebecca Davis Higdon. Their children: Margaret (Wilkerson); Joseph; Gabriel; Sarah (Bake); Isham D.; Rebecca (Redenbaugh); and Arthur B. Gabriel Higdon's (the elder) parents were Joseph and Margaret Holbrook. Their children: Gabriel; John; Mary/Polly; Susannah; Jane T.; Hays; Ishmael; Joseph jr.; Margaret; Thomas; Enoch; and Sarah. Joseph's (the elder) parents were John and Mary Montgomery. Rebecca Davis Higdon's parents were Isham and Charlotte Hays Davis, and Isham's parents were Henry and Mary Marriott. I have the Davis line a long ways back. I have a Bible record found on the internet regarding the Higdons, plus a will with many names. Email me at twalker@iland.net and I will send a descendancy chart for the Higdons. Two of them married Davises. My husband descends from the Davis family. Your Joseph and wife Mary moved to Wapello Co., Iowa and later to Scotland Co., Missouri.
