Wiley, I looked through the census and found one John Dill born in TN that's of approx. the right age for child #3 on this one, 1842 instead of 1844, but you know how census ages are...Anyway, I tracked him through and here is what I found: 1870 Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN Dill, John 28 Ellen 25 Henry 6 Sallie 2 Reeves, Morris 17 (black laborer) 1880 Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN Dill, John 39 Ellen 39 Henry 15 Sallie 13 Emma 9 Jane 7 John 1 1900 Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., TN Dill, John 60 (Mar. 1840) Ellen 60 (Sept. 1840) John 21 (Sept. 1879) Jennie 17 (June 1882) Noah 2 (Apr. 1897) This is the only one I could find, except one that pops up out of nowhere on the 1880 and 1900 in Montgomery Co., TN. That one is the same age, but is married to a Parthenia, with a son Robert. Since Rutherford Co. is closer to Wilson Co. than Montgomery Co. is, I thought I'd run with that. There are none in IL at all. Brandi |
