I have Evie Lena Woodall b. Abt. 1893; d. 28 Nov 1967. She married Roy Lannom b. 09 Sep 1893; d. 24 Apr 1963. His parents were John R. "Knotty" Lannom and Mary Ann Bilbro. This is where it becomes a mystery. Roy Lannom had four brothers and one sister. My family is from one of the brothers Wilson Lafayette Lannom. When John R. Lannom married Mary Ann Bilbro he brought a 3 year old son - Allbury Woodall - to the marriage. Mary Ann raised him along with her children until his death from either a 'flu' or 'fever' in his early teens. His mother was a Woodall. I have no name for her at all and am trying to find out her family. Our family stories say that in Old Hickory where Wilson Lafayette Lannom family lived that there was a Woodall family that he always said were related to him. I also have a Bailey Pomp Woodall that married Harriett C. Lannom and Orville Woodall who was a s/o Bailey Pomp and Harriett. I also have a deed abstract that mentions the name ARDENIA WOODALL: "I.R. Lannom to W.A. Lannom, J.R.W. Lannom, ARDENIA WOODALL, Mahala Gibson, Eliza E. Sanders, and the minor heirs of Harriett and John S. Currey the tract of land known as the 'John Lanom' homestead in the 23rd District. 5 October 1881. All my Woodall's were from or around Wilson Co., TN. If you recognize any names, please e-mail me at: clannom@fuse.net Thank you Carole Lannom |
