Tom, I saw you posting regarding the names Patrick and Edward Toohill. My grandfather was Patrick whose father was Edward and his father Patrick. In the McLean/Dewitt County(Illinois) history files Edward is mentioned as Edmund on occassions. He was said to have been a teacher and moved from Canada to Illinois and took up farming. I have some information on all three of these generations regarding marrieges, births, children and death/burial places. Patrick William Toohill married Hanora Lucretia Gleason. His son Edward (Edmund) Francis Toohill married Anna Teresa Burns. His son(my grandfather) married Julia Marie Phelan. If any of this matches your information on your Toohill line please let me know.
