Recent DNA comparisons show that from what is available in the DNA pool, the Trails are closest in match to the Burnett family(only 2 different markers in the 37 marker test) and the Boughan family(only 4 different markers). What is interesting is that the Baughan and Burnett families were neighbors in the mid 1600's at Old Rappahanock County,Virginia and resided where John Treale was transported in 1662. The David Trail Sr. family was closely allied at Maryland with Luke Burnett who was related to the Rappahanock Burnetts. The Burnetts came to America early and were from Aberdeen.
