The Carl (Karl) in my family was actaully born in the United States. I am looking for information on his father and grandfather. All I know is that they may have live in Halle, in Prussia. Karl's father was Albert Ufer born 1858 in Saxony, Germany Albert's father was Christian Ufer ( there may be more to the name, but that is all we have) and was born 1824 in Prussia. He married a woman by the name of Maria Christianna Koeppe (may have variations. They immigrated to the United States on June 13, 1867 on the Cimbria. They departed from Hamburg, Germany, if this helps at all. If there is any information about these individuals, that would be great. Thanks! Missy
