Hi William, I don't know if this will help, but I recently purchased a used book that appears not to have been opened for about 70 years. It came to me thru a dealer I found on Amazon. Upon flipping through it, an old Western Union telegram fell out. It reads: NEWYORK NY 1036A MAY 11 1936 MRS F WAINWRIGHT PERKINS GRAYTON TAYLORVILLE ILL WHY NO WORD FROM YOU ARE YOU WELL PLEASE WRITE EMILY 1003A Intrigued, my wife did a quick Internet search for "Wainwright Perkins" and found your post. All I can know from this is that someone named "Emily" in New York sent "Mrs. F Wainwright Perkins" in Taylorville, Illinois, a telegram. Does this sound like it might be your family?
