I was born in Aberdeen, Scotland. My father Richard was born in 1947 in Hartlepool, and his father Hugh Edward was born around 1890 in Durham. He died before I was born and I know nothing about any other relatives in the North East. So I was quite interested to read your question tonight although it is already a couple of years old.
