The death certificates don't show parents names. It may be a coincidence, but the cemetery plot Robert, his wife Tirzah, and firstborn Emily are buried in was purchased by Alexander Weir (1832/1910). Alexander was son of John and Caroline(Chomley)Weir. We haven't been able to establish a link between them. It is possible that Robert arrived in NZ via Melbourne, Australia in 1868(?). Did your Clarke family come from Co Down area? Terry
