Actually I have a detailed history of the Wight's in a book I have copied and was written at the turn of the last century.
In the genealogy from Thomas Wight there are several Wights that went from Dedham to Scituate. The connection between Eleazar Wight born 1742 in Scituate and whose father was John Wight and John Wight who was married to Mary Fiske and from the eastern CT region is tenious but probable. Needs more research.
In the book the author has difficulty linking the Wights of Dedham and the Wights of eastern CT and R.I. There was a Benjamin Wight that came from Medfield, MA and is buried in Scituate, R.I. whose son was Benjamin and born in Swansea, MA (nest to R.I. ) and the rest of his children (all 7) born in Scituate.
The families are undoubtedly linked. There is a Four Corners cemetery in Killingly where some of the Wights from Scituate are buried.
I can send e-mail attachments of the files I have if you find that helpfull.
