Robert Davis: Thank you for the information I just found on this site. Your list of casualties from the Battle of Wounded Knee - Dec. 29, 1890 is just what I have been looking for. You listed my grandfather - Wagoner-George York - Troop D. Yes he was wounded in the shoulder by an Indian arrrow and he received the Purple Heart for this. He is now buried in Arlington National Cemetery where I have visited his gravesite several times. If you know where I can find some additional information on him please let me know.
