This may be too late to post but I am going to try. My father was Edward Lee Yerbey, Sr. b. 1915 in Wayne County, Tennessee d. 1978 in Lauderdale County, Alabama. My Grandfather was Robert E. Lee Yerbey b. 1869 in Clarke County Georgia d. Lauderdale County, Alabama 1933. His father (my GG Grandfather) was Burrell Henry Yerbey b. 1836 in Clarke County Georgia d. 1890 in Clarke County Georgia. His father (my GG Grandfather) was William Yerby b. 1812 in Clarke County Georgia d. 1844 in Clarke County Georgia. His father (my GGG Grandfather) was Burrell Yerby b. 1780 in North Carolina d. 1860 in Clarke County, Georgia. That is as far back as I have been able to trace but I am still working.
