Hi,

I've been wondering about Joseph Champenois's relationship (if any) to the other Westchester County Champenois descending from Thomas (1725-1799) and his father Daniel; or perhaps to the Champenois's found in Schoharie County around 1800 (who may also descend from one of Thomas's sons). May I ask what information you have that makes you believe Joseph's father was named John and that he was born in New York around 1800? Even the smallest detail might give me a chance to place him for you (for both of us). Thanks and good luck.
