Thomas Champenois, son of Daniel, son of Daniel, is also an ancestor of mine. Daniel Jr registered the ear mark for his animals at New Rochelle. (A slit in the left ear, and a hole in the right.)
Thomas was born July 21 1725 at the French Reformed Church in NYCity. He married Elizabeth Jurckse on April 11 1747 at the Old dutch Church at Sleepy Hollow at Tarrytown, NY.

I also have some information on him during the Revolutionary War. Please feel free to contact me at "charshamp@hotmail.com".
