Dear Toby, One of my ancestors - my ggg grandmother - was a Susanna Champneys (born October 19, 1777, married 1797, died August 15, 1846) who married Alexander Mundell (born February 3, 1768 and died March 19, 1837)and they had 13 children, including 7 sons, but none of the sons left a male heir. I believe that she was the 2nd daughter of a Samuel Champneys and believe that although they were definitely related to the Champneys of Orchardleigh in Somerset, also I beleive lived at Bradmill, Hertfordshire. Does any of this mean anything to you and does it fit in with any of your research. Actually my cousin has an old oil painting of her! My e-mail address is : georgcooke@aol.com
Hope to hear from you, George Cooke
