Hello,
I do not have anything that I can specifically relate to your name, but I do have a few Josephine and Lucy Champneys of a slightly earlier time in that general region (southern Ny and northern PA). My g-grandfather, Loren Van Rensselaer Champney had sisters named Josephine and Lucy. I don't have dates from them but he was born in 1866, so mid-19th century is a good bet. Their father was Van Rensselaer Champney Jr. We have had no luck in finding anything concrete beyond his father.
