Looking for info on John Champney b. 1834 in Sansador (might be near Three-Rivers) PQ, Canada d. 1906. His name was spelled champany in the 1880 Census for Sharon, Vt. His 2nd wife was Caroline M. Ringer b. 08 Aug 1862 in Three-Rivers, PQ, Canada. Her grave marker uses the French spelling, Champagne. His grave marker uses the spelling John B. Shampney. Some members of the same family spelled it with a "C" and some with an "S". I would like to know the names of John's 1st wife and those of their children. One child was named Lina (Salina?). Any information on the family would be appreciated. Thank you.
