I think the John Chandler you mentioned is the right one. I hadn't thought of Nathan possibly being John's grandfather, but it is quite possible since the children from the first two marriages would have been the right age to have a child in the early 1850s. The part about Kentucky is interesting because the Reeders in my family were from Kentucky, on the chance that John's middle name came from his mother's family name. It was also interesting to me that Nathan Alexander's son's middle name is the same as my grandfather Neff's first name. I will certainly try the Chandler Family Association.
