Not researching this line but interested. It this your line?

I have it that there is an Isaac Chandler on the Patrick Co, VA, tax lists 1791 through 1795. This might be yours? Perhaps this same Isaac re-appears on and off the Patrick lists beginning 1809 through 1817.

However, there was an older Isaac Chandler who appears on Surry Co, NC, (just south of Patrick across VA border) tax lists at least 1794, 1796, and 1797. He dies Surry in 1797 and his will states he has 16 children, naming only one, George.

I often wonder if the early Patrick Co Isaac is the same one who appears in Surry? Or perhaps the Isaac in Patrick is one of the older Isaac's sons? Just don't know.

This is a mystery. Cheryl
