Sorry did'nt mean to insert the (') in the name....I too, will be researching for a name like Haboire....in France.
You know how all French names beginning with H always loose the pronounciation and eventually when in contact with English speaker it gets dropped out of the name entirely....I have seen this happen with my other family...Hunault...and it becomes Enaud or some such.

The researcher who told me about the Dumas..has a database on Rootsweb ... "KingsnCastles" if you want to check that.
