My gg-grandfather James Anderson CHILDRESS (1855-1907) was married to Frances Columbia SMITH (1853-1920). They lived in Patrick County, VA and had 9 children, all well-documented. I am at a wall with his ancestry, finding much conflicting information about the name of his father and his paternal grandmother. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
