Looking for family of Joel and Nancy Clark Childress. Joel was born in Knox Co. TN 1798 and he and Nancy died in Franklin CO. AR in 1862. They moved from Knox Co. TN to Jackson CO. AL. Joel and Nancy had a daughter named Laura. They did have other children which I have the names. Laura married John Burgess and they had one son James Burgess. James Burgess was my g-grandfather.
Joel's father was John Childress(Knox CO. TN) and Mary Polly Kirby(Blount CO. TN)(Kirby was spelled Curbey on the marriage bond.) John was a son of Mitchel Childress(Henrico CO.VA.) Would like to hear from anyone with information on this line. Please email me.
