I'm looking for information on the ancestors of John Wesley Childress, born roughly 1900 in West Virginia. His Census reports that his father was born in North Carolina. My family tells me his father is Meredy Hezakiah Childress, born in North Carolina. Apparently he married Mary Radford. The only information I can find is Meredy's date of death. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Let me know.
