9 January 1873 Rhoda's grand-daughter Minnie R. Blundle marries Edgar Gormus. Her parents are (blank) and Millie Blundle. Minister John Spencer. She was 17, he was 22.
His parents are William and Sarah Gormus.
24 May 1894 Joseph Childress married Fannie Banton, dau of C. L. and Isabelle Banton. Joseph's parents are listed on the Marriage License and Certificate of Marriage as Stephen J. Childress and Rhoda Ann Blundell, dec'd. Minister J. J. Spencer. He was 33, she was 17.
Prior to Joseph's marriage, his father Stephen Childers married Eliza J. Pendleton, daughter of May Pendleton, on 22 March 1879. Minister John J. Spencer. He was 51, she 38. She had a child Mack Pendleton when they married.
So did Stephen Childress propagate all of Rhoda's children, or were there multiple fathers? Did Stephen Childress also propagate Mack Pendleton? We may never know the answer to those questions.
