I was in Montgomery county sometime back and didn't find anything of value. I found some property sales and slave sales concerning William, John, John Jr, and Taylor. That's about it. I was hoping to link this bunch with Valentine Sevier but had no luck. I'd really like to know how Taylor Chisholm got his name. I can't find any marriages to a Taylor that I can link to this family. I did, however find where a John Chisholm had signed a petition in Washington Co Tn ca 1790 and the signees immediately above John were three Taylors. It looks like those Taylors and that John were friends or at least neighbors.
