Manuel,

Are you sure that "El Tule" was in Matamoros? I know of some de la Garza's that also lived on a Ranch/Hacienda called "El Tule" and it was said to be in the jurisdiction of Burgos. On the map my primo included it also looked like it was part of the Burgos jurisdiction.
