Happened to be looking at a record of a soldier yesterday who joined at age fifteen with his father's consent. He received a discharge a year later as being underage. In my humble opinion, anyone reported as age eleven on the 1860 census is too young to seriously consider for ACW miltary service. Notify Administrator about this message?
