I find a Henry C. West listed in the Ancestry.com database:
"Official records of the Union and Confederate Armies, 1861-1865" It is an index only
The original name of the their source is "Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, 1861-1865" It is a microfilm series at the NARA Library M262, 128 rolls at National Archives, Washington, D.C.
A Local LDS Family History Center should have copies of the same Microfilm and can help explain how to find informaion on them.

Henry C. West I 13,22,41,48. From what I read this means Henry is listed in Series I (1), Volumes 13,22,41,48. I have never used this before.
