Judy,

I made the assumption, based on your reference, that Capt. McDonald's company at some point was assigned as Pillow's escort company. However, searching the OR, and reading this history of the unit, I see no confirmation of that:

The only reference that I could find to an escort company assigned to Pillow was that of a group of some 100 cadets from the University of Alabama late in the war. This, of course, is neither proof that McDonald's company was or was not given that assignment at some point in time.
Hopefully you will receive some information from the cemetery that will provide the documentation you seek.
