I am looking for Matilda Jane Clause who was born in Schuyler County Missouri and married Harvey Hamilton Griffith. His family is from Wales. I have no info about when and where they were married. They had six children, 4 boys and 2 girls in Saline County Missouri, and I have the birthdate of two sons, Charles Griffith born August 26,1874 died March 15,1957 and another son John Nathan Griffith born April 20, 1881 and died December 8, 1974 in Blue Lick Cemetery. I have leads on all the kids info I think, but I can find nothing on Harvey and only Matilda's childhood and family. Nothing of either one of them in adulthood. I know Harvey was born in 1845, his father John and mystery mother came over from Wales in the 1840's. Do not know whether Harvey was born here or over in Wales. In 1848, John Griffith left his family for the California Gold rush and was never heard from again. Any info greatly appreciated and good luck with your searches as well. Teresa
