My husbands' g.grandmother was Annie Claus
who married a Thomas Stevenson in Frontenac Co. Ont.She died in Sydenham, Ont. in abt.1943. I am just beginning to try and trace her.The 1871 census has a John {27)Claus in Tyendinaga but as of yet I haven't been able to view the microfilm.
Her picture shows that she definitely has Indian background.
