Following is information I have on the Kloss family:
Johann Philipp KLOSS (CLOOS, CLOSS, GLOHS known variations) & Katharina HOFMANN (HOFFMANN) of Altenkirchen, Pfaltz, Bayern, Germany.
His father was Philipp Peter CLOOS b. 1802 in Altenkirchen, Germany. Married Margaretha Sara METZLER.
Son: Johann Philipp KLOSS (CLOSS) b. June 17, 1817 m. Katharina HOFMANN (HOFFMANN) May 24, 1845 in Altenkirchen, Germany. Katharina was born June 12, 1818 in Breitenbach, Germany. To this union 9 children were born: Karoline (4/4/1839); Jacob (8/13/1841); Katharina (3/5/1844); Christian (6/7/1846); Peter (2/3/1849); Margaretha (6/21/1851); Ludwig (4/1/1854); Karl (9/26/1856); Philipp (6/23/1861)
I do have descendent lines to most of these children. If anyone has any information, please email me. I do know some descendents are still in the WV and IL areas. There is a possible link with Kloss in the OK area. Thank you in advance for any assistance.
