Hi Jon,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. My grt grt grt grandfather was a John Cloves. I don't know much about him except that he had at least two sons, George born 1820 and William born 1822 (my grt grt Grandfather), and I think another son called John who died in 1871.

I haven't yet found a Caroline or Jeremiah in my line but probably just haven't gone back far enough yet. Cloves does not appear to be a particularly common name in London so there could well be a connection.

Do you have any further info on Jeremiah and John?
