I recently saw your posting re Cochran on the genforum website (you posted on 12/13/10). I tried to reply using your posted e-mail, but it was returned undeliverable, so that is why I am sending a follow-up to your posting.

I am a descendent of Cheadle Cochran (who was a state senator in Georgia) from the area near Palmetto, GA. He owned a mill there and quite a bit of land. His son James Hill Cochran married Argel Miller who were parents of my great grandmother Mary. Mary married a James (Jim) Stanford Jackson Griffin and they lived in Georgia and also Alabama. After Jim had died, Mary traveled to Texas (Collin County) with her three children, one of which was my grandfather Ira Griffin. Cheadle Cochran's parents were from VA.

I don't know if any of this fits into your family line, but I have quite a bit of information/photos about my Cochran's.

Please let me know if any of my info fits with your family.

Wanda Jones
