Hello Amy, I wish I had more information to offer you now. All we know about this veteran comes from the rather sparse records of the cemetery in which he is buried, Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore Maryland. These records indicate that "A.J. Cochrane" was buried in plot B-66 within a section of the cemetery called "Confederate Hill" sometime in December of 1862. The cemetery records also indicate that he served in Co. E, 41st Georgia (Infantry, Cavalry...?). If you find that this "A.J. Cochrane" is your ancestor and you have information that might increase our understanding of him as an individual, we would be most grateful if you would share it with us. We are conducting a restoration project centered on the section of Loudon Park Cemetery called "Confederate Hill" in which "A.J. Cochrane" is buried. One aspect of this project entails the compilation of an on-line archive of information concerning the lives of the over 600 veterans buried on "Confederate Hill." With your permission, we would want to add any information you could provide on any of these veterans to the on-line archive. You would be attributed as the source of the information, without revealing any personal information. If you are interested in discussing this further, please e-mail me at my home address at: steves@toad.net. I would be happy to provide you with the url to our project web site. This would enable you to periodically check our archive to see if anything further has been uncovered about "A.J. Cochrane." Sincerely, Steve Smith Baltimore, Maryland Notify Administrator about this message?
