Interesting. I had run across the name "Leeroy" Cochran in my research but did not know where to put him. I will work on this and let you know what else I find or if there is a connection.

My family came from Jefferson and Franklin Counties in Illinois. My ggrandfather Thomas Cochran (Cothran) was born somewhere in ILL moved to Larwence County AR and on to Howell County Missouri by 1860 There I loose him. I suspect he died in the war. Many of his clan moved back to IL during the war. I just found him several months ago and still am trying to put pieces together. My great grandfather was Hiram B. Cochran Thomas's son with Rachael?

A large part of my family was in the Benton County areas of Arkansas and into southern Missouri. They came from IL.
