Capt. William Cockerham, Surry Co. VA

In 1666, my ancestor, Charles Barham, bought some acreage in Surry Co. VA with Capt. William Cockerham. They appeared in many records together, and I feel there is some connection between them, either familial or economic. Charles Barham's wife, Elizabeth, is believed to be a Ridley, but I'm not at all convinced of that. I'm wondering if Elizabeth might be a Cockerham. I have lots of information about Charles Barham to share. Does anyone know anything at all about Capt. William Cockerham?
