This is my line also but I know little about it.They are listed in the 1850 census of Owsley Co.,Ky. link:

at page 291A.My line is through their son,James and wife,Emilia unkn.(also shown).This is the first(and only) time I've seen it spelled Cockrum.(I usually say Cochran).James and Emilia's daughter,Sally(Sarah)Ann married Joel Stamper.They are not in the 1860 census(although there are several Stampers in both;most prob.related to me.).Maybe headed for Mo.by then.Do you anything about William earlier?
