Matt. I am a North Carolina Cofer. Four
generations back it was spelled Coffer.
Before that it was Zollicoffer and our first
American ancesters came over from Switzerland.
My Grandfather was Jesse James Cofer. His Father was Jesse Cofer. His Father was James
Coffer, Jr. His Father was James Coffer, Sr.
His Father was Thomas Coffer and was the first to be born in America.
If you can identify with any of the above, have reams of documentation.
