The January 2008 issue of ANTIQUES magazine has an ad picturing two portraits of Major Daniel Coffin and his wife Elizabeth Stone Coffin, 1801, in Massachusetts, by the artist John Brewster, Jr.
I am scanning these portraits in case any of Daniel and Elizabeth's descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the Coffin family ought to have them--they are too good to be missed by the family. They might not have a lot of genealogical value, but they certainly do have a whole lot of artistic and family value.

If they were portraits of a Mr. & Mrs. Pease, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me.
