The Spring 2008 issue of ANTIQUES AND FINE ART magazine on p. 66 pictures in an advertisement a portrait of Mr. & Mrs. Charles & Mary Davenport Coffin of Buxton, Maine, dated 1808. The ad gives no further genealogical information about the couple.
This portrait should be made known to the Coffin family. I am scanning it in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the family ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by the family. It may not have extensive genealogy value (no other genealogy information is given about it), but it certainly does have a whole lot of family and artistic value.
