I am your step-cousin I guess (Vicky Brooks Myers). My mother is Barbara Colgate Brooks, William's sister. My sister Kim Brooks Wilson found your post surfing. We knew right away you were one of us. We had a brother John Mark Brooks who died 4 years ago of a heart attack. I guess you know about the bad heart disease in the family.
You have a lot of kin out here. I just got back from Lake City, Florida and visited Uncle Charlie in the VA nursing home there. I was visiting his daughter Barbara Colgate Shepard and her brother Skip Colgate. Her daughter got married a couple of weeks ago.
Also, when I was down there I saw Debbie, Uncle Gene's daughter. I hadn't seen her since we wre kids. I think she has 4 kids now. I went down there with my mom, Barbara and Aunt Carol (Uncle Harold's twin). We call them "Thelma and Louise."
Aunt Josie and her daughter Cathy still live in Nashville. Also, Aunt Carol's daughter (Terri) lives in Nashville.
Saw Aunt Sarah and Uncle Bill Howard at the wedding last week.
Write me back if you get this. I know it was a long time ago.
I see where David Gourley wrote you. He is our cousin as well, Aunt Shirley (Tuki's) son.
