I have Bernard CONAGHAN b.1836 in Donegal. His parents were James CONAGHAN and Frances McGEE. I am still unsure how and when he got to Australia but he was married in Australia in 1863 to Ellen DUGAN.

These families are my Husband's and he doen't really know that much about them. Our names are:

CONAGHAN - from Donegal to Grafton / Great Marlow / Bellingen / Lismore/ Murwillumbah

DUGGAN / DUGAN / DOOHAN- from Grafton

DALEY - Clarence River / Grafton / Murwillumbah

BURKE - Murwillumbah

SCHNEIDER - Grafton / Limore / Murwillumbah

also these names who married into these families TROY, HENESSY, KENNY, BOYD, HOWE

I would also love to hear from anyone who can give me some info on these places:

* a shop in CONDONG run by a Mr FRY and James CONAGHAN (1912-1932)

* a farm in Great Marlow (GRAFTON) run by Bernard (Bernie/Barney) CONAGHAN(circa 1872)

* a dairy run by the CONAGHAN Brothers in MURWILLUMBAH (early 1900s)

* the Federal Hotel in BELLINGEN run by a B.CONAGHAN(1930s)

* Sugar Growing property in CUDGEN run by Charles.F.Conaghan(1930s)
