Hi,
I am trying to trace any Cooneys who are still (or have been) in New Zealand. I know of a Douglas Cooney who was an MP there in the 50s and his brother David Joseph michael Cooney who was there for a few years. I believe Douglas had at least two children.
The family came from Ireland originally and owned a caravan park in Kent, possibly in or near Deal, in the mid 50s.
Any information would be most welcome.
