Hello,
For about a month I've been trying to create a family-tree for a large FITZGERALD family we are close to. I have them going back to a couple, John H. FITZGERALD, b~1858 Ireland, and Catherine Mary SMITH, b~1855 Ireland. They had married in Boston in 1881 and had 2 sons, Michael Albert FITZGERALD, b1882, and John FITZGERALD, b1887. Unfortunately, both parents died during 1893. Their 2 teen-age sons went to live with their aunt's family: William and Mary (SMITH) COSTELLO in Stoneham, MA. They had a daughter, Delia COSTELLO, who might not have married.
The record shows that Catherine's parents were Philip and Julia (CUDDIHY) SMITH. (John H.'s parents were Michael and Julia PHELAN) FITZGERALD.)
