I am interested in knowing history related to the Cotting family who lived in Rhinebeck/Kingston, New York area.
My GGrandmother was Johanna Fowkes Cotting whose father was Thomas and whose father was Frederick ( b. 1804). Family lore has it that the Cottings came at the time of the Palatine Immigration from Germany in 1713 and settled in Rhinebeck. However I cannot connect back that far.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
