The prevailing theory is that Elijah was the son of Jesse CRAVENS (1762-1830) of Rockingham County, Virginia who married (1)Margaret HARRISON in 1781 and (2)Ann McCLURE in Lincoln County, Kentucky, 1789. Still unsubstanciated however. I have not found a probate or anything indicating the connection. Perhaps someone else has made progress?
