My father-in-law, Ellis Schorah is the grandson of Martha S. Herring Crew. His mother is Minerva also known as Minnie.
Martha's parents are Miranda M. Herring, b 4 Nov 1829 MD, d about 1862 and Jonas J. Crew, b 25 Sep 1829, d about 1877-1880. Miranda and Jonas married 20 Jan 1849 in Balt. Co., MD. They lived in Crumpton, Maryland. No luck yet finding their parents. I have a small bible with the above birthdates. Also my father-in-law has a photo of the Morris cousins taken circa 1925. I'm still looking for James Morris parents, his death cert. says he was born in PA and his father's name is Dennis. However I can't seem to find him & family in the U.S. census.
